How do you know the wisdom of the world?

You obtain wisdom from reading the Bible. Carefully considering what you read, Pray that God shows you the truth. You need enough spiritual maturity to be able to discern truth and to be able to build a relationship with Jesus Christ.

You can’t assume that Truth simply flows from a man’s mouth,. If someone tells you a Bible mis-truth how would you know?

The Wisdom of God

Prov 3:7

“Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

Wisdom of the World and the Wisdom of God

1 Corinthians 1:18 – 31

“For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

For it is written,

“I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE,

AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I

WILL SET ASIDE.”

Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;

but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness.

But to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;

but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.

and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are.

so that no man may boast before God.

But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

So that, just as it is written, “LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD.”

James 3:13-18

Who among you is wise and understanding?  Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth.

This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable full of mercy and god fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.

And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

James 1:5-8

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

But he must ask in faith, without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.

For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,

Being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
